If you're plunging solo at home, a 118- or 148-gallon tub is typically plenty. For a more spacious soak or shared use, the 248-gallon option with the 1HP chiller gives you room to fully submerge comfortably.
It depends on the product. Our Cold Plunge Tub Built for Athletes comes with a 1HP chiller and WiFi control included, while our Ice Bath Chiller Bundle pairs a 1/3HP chiller with a 148-gallon insulated tub as a complete set. If you already own a tub or inflatable ice bath, you can also purchase a standalone chiller to add temperature control to your existing setup.
Chilling time depends on the tub's insulation, the ambient temperature of your space, and the power of the chiller unit. Our 1HP chiller on the 248-gallon tub is built to reach cold therapy temperatures suitable for post-training recovery. For best results, we recommend setting up in a shaded or climate-controlled area and allowing a few hours for the water to reach your target temperature before your first plunge.
